First ever Waterfront Alliance trolley of South Portland's waterfront
What a great tour we had of South Portland's waterfront! Special thanks to Bill Frappier for donating a trolley and wonderful driver for the tour, to Tex Haeuser for his thoughtful narration, to Roger Hale for the behind-the-gate tour of his remarkable terminal on Turner's Island, to Kevin Battle for sharing his considerable knowledge of South Portland, to Kathy DiPhilippo and Erno Bonebakker for the same, and to all attendees who shared stories and memories and their time and attention. And thanks to John Spritz for the picture!
We even learned a forgotten fact about Willard Beach... Ask Kevin next time you see him.
See you in September. Until then, keep an eye on our Facebook page and here on our website for news from both sides of Portland Harbor.
